Damn - just realised I didn't puta link in the post above. Problem is that I can't access that site from my work PC to get the link.

Suffice to say that if you're into:

AOC
Warhammer
WOW
EVE
Everquest
Any kind of general MMO game

This site seems to do a podcast about it.

(Maybe some other kind soul will add a link?)

If we knew where to find it. But I still don't get the absolute love you have for Podcasts. You have to listen to somebody speak?

Damn I forgot to look last night and put the link in :-(

You can find it by typing in www.virginworlds.com I should think. Probably the "virgin" bit is what makes our security block it - I guess we cant use Virgin Atlantic for business trips either!

Yes you "have" to listen to someone speak lol. Have you really never listened to a podcast? WOW!! Think of it as a radio programme on your favourite subject, except you download it to listen and can pause it whenever you want.

There are video podcasts around, but I dont do those as I can listen and work/drive at the same time, but not watch a video and work/drive. Im not that talented :-)

My love for gaming podcasts stems from boredom I suppose, mixed with a love for gaming and discovering other peoples ideas and thoughts on games or a particular game. I just download an edition to my HDD, and copy it to my phones memory card and then listen to it through the ear plugs in the car on the way to & from work - even at work.

Its amazing the information you can find out from them, because the well known ones often have info on patches and forthcoming releases before websites do, plus discussions and chats with developers, leading clans and guilds which gives an alternative insight.

Best one by far is still the Van Hemlock podcast. Informative and humourous on a wide variety of MMO's
Worst one by far is Warpdrive Active. The English half of the pair of hosts has such a depressing tone of voice for a presenter, but its about EvE and so sometimes informative still.

I havent listened to it yet, but you'll probably be interested in the AOC podcast Tan.

I've never bothered to listen to any podcasts before, mainly because the concept seemed rather dull to me. C'mon, a bunch of geezers yappin' about this and that, most of it probably boring and uninteresting stuff like how to paint your boat or how to neuter a penguin?

But, you being such a pushy and invasive guy, stuffing the glory of podcasts down out throat... Well, I decided to give it a go. I looked into that virgin thing you touted (unfortunately not as kinky as my mind hoped for) and located the Van Hemlock manouver and got me one of them (53 I think).
Loaded it into my Nintendo DS (Yeah, my iPod died two months ago and I use the DS as a crappy substitute) and fired it up on the trip to get my kid from the kindergarden.

And I enjoyed it..
Yes, it shames me, but these guys were actually FUNNY to listen to. At times I chuckled out loud, something I usually don't do in public (Mmm, I'm a psychopath, I know. Or possibly a sociopath).

I'll check out a few other ones and see which ones I like or not, but I'll definitely listen to a few more of these Han Vemshock lads again.
