Over at wow.net, a lot of people from this sites blogs have been deleted. Possibly by your request, but just wanted to point it out. There was a lot of solid information and fun reads in your old blogs, I wish that they were still around. Just thought I would give yalls a heads up. Gav pointed that out today.

What?!? No. WHAT!? Who the !@##@$!@$#!@$# deleted my BLOG?!
No really. Like in who the !$@#!@$# deleted my BLOG?! And wHY?> WHY THE.
I bet said person would request you to catch the ball and play the field.....or something like that. :(
I was actually hoping that you had requested to have it removed. That way I wouldn't be pissed off. It just happened within the past like 5 days though. I was reading your blog for smething you mentioned just a little bit ago.
I would have removed it myself if I wanted it gone. There is a "Delete Blog" feature.
Im reading all these posts here this morning from work so I cannot access wow.net to see if my blog has gone. I have no back up, and while it is not a great loss to the community as a whole I have to admit that it would bother me if it went down the spout - especially as a deliberate action.
I frankly see this as a covert attack on those who have come here by the leaders of a site who are afraid and resentful. If indeed my blog has been removed then I can only see this as a wish for me to not visit their site again.
It would have taken little effort to send an e-mail to every blogger (there isnt THAT many there!!) to advise them of the impending action.
For me personally I find this site more comfortable to read and in many respects more interesting. None of the crap you get in wow.net, none of the animosity, name calling, purile immature posts, etc that are rife there - and in many other sites. The news section is of interest to me only there.
Your blog is still there.
Well, Rush said if any of the bloggers wanted their blogs back, he could email them to the blogger, so even ifyours does get deleted from the site, you can get it from Rush. There is something fishy going on though. They are not getting deleted chronologically, they are not getting deleted bynumber of blogs in your blog, and they are not getting deleted by number of views.
AKA, IMO they are handpicking some, deleting them, and making claims that are hard to discuss without sounding like an ass.
So long as we all know what is going on, its whatever.
Mine is still there =) I guess I'm not evil enough.
But then, Stigg's is also up... I would have thought that it would have been the first one to get nuked.
Same here. Maybe it is an age thing - no updates in a certain amount of time and it gets deleted?
your was updated more recently than mine.

I was contemplating just PMing said person, but I don't think she really cares to discuss the matter with me.
You asking that question is liable to get your post deleted Stigg  Gormash' blog has also been deleted.
My skin has grown thick from that. It injures me no more.
But it is a valid question. maybe it was time related and the mods don't know anything about it. /shrug
And what was that guys name that I keep referring to?
What guy? Gavriel? Gormash? Elly?
No. You me and one other person shared the top three slots for "most views" on wow.net. His is gone too...I just don't recall his name.
I should smack you. GORMASH! You know - the UI genius that taught me the ropes. 32 year old. Young baby boy, named after his sister. Plays a Tauren called Mashiem.
It must be that vertigo, it's draining the blood supply to your head.
Haha my memory never has been very good, but I will blame it on Vertigo haha
I love your innocent-style questioning. "are they expected to return?" =D
the tone will turn quickly when it is discovered they were deleted.
Lol i know your kind. We manipulative people tend to sense it on others.
Mine's gone too...
Bloody annoying. They could at LEAST have given a mail-warning saying the blog would be deleted within 2 weeks if it wasn't updated before that. All I get now is a page saying "Your blog is corrently awaiting moderation".
I am contemplating logging in and sending Elly a scathing PM. I settled for logging in and chatting to Snowieken. Maybe he can give some useful feedback on this.
wait to see the outcome of my forum post.
haha if this is an anti-black temple movement, I can't wait til the discover a few of their mods are registered here.
Hehehehe. Although they are only lurking at the moment!
Are they? Is Snowie here? I hope so ;)
Two of them have registered here. I am not at liberty to divulge their names until they post in public, however.
Of course, I understand. By the way, how many members are here now Tan?
yeah, and even if it doesn't grow (which i'm sure it will in time), it's better to have just a few people that can relate and discuss things in a more mature manner and have a good time than to have what they have on WoW.net, where's it's swarming with tikki's and rotten tomato's, NUFF said. Becuz likez ZOMGZ we are just so L33tZ here, for rizzle!
Your moms mature.
I found this site through someones blog on worldofwar.net. I think I jumped from Stiggs to Tan's blogs or something, then on to here. If it wasn't for those blogs, chances are I wouldn't have ever ended up here. I lost the url to the site shortly afterwards, but once I knew it existed I easily found my way back. Make whatever theories you will.
That said, I like it here. I still read wow.net and post on occasion, I read the class forums because there is a lot of information to be had about growing my character, and understanding classes that I haven't played thoroughly. I don't like posting there though because, I dunno, I don't like the vibe I guess. I like here because it's like shooting the shit about wow with friends, and because talking about wow to my non wow-playing friends is a level of nerd I'm unwilling to delve into yet. =D
Aye, that's what I like about these guys too. They're all pretty insane in their own special ways, but the level of knowledge is astounding some days. And I'm glad you're here Raimere.
Ya know on an off note, I hope to see this site grow very large, me thinks tan will make a really good admin =).
On track, IF they were deleted because you guys are blogging here, i would find that quite funny, because that would mean Elly has been reading our blogs, so she also read my posts about her, and stigg's posts as well /grins. That just makes me smile. And in WoW speak, she got pwnd! /stops being evil.
So anywho, i'm interested to find out why they were deleted as well. IMHO, it has to do with something personal, because Darthmuffin's last post was at about the same time as tan's, and he even mentioned he won't be going back anymore, and yet, his blog is still there...I find that interesting, but then again Darthmuffin is also blogging here so i don't think it's "Black Temple" related, so I don't know. Could just be a bug or something and the blogs may be coming back into view soon. Only time will tell. /shrug
Thank you for the vote of confidence Nickster. One can but hope! We certainly have the bandwidth and disk space to spare to grow reasonably large. (Around another 99gb of monthly traffic)
33 years now... ;)
I really wonder why only Tan's and Gormash's blogs 'disappeared', because yours was a more likely candidate, Stigg. Is it possible that the blog doesn't show up anymore because Tan and Gormash haven't posted at all since a certain date? The blogs could be tied directly to the forum account and disappear when the account becomes inactive.
TBH, I think that they got deleted because both of their blogs contained links to this site.
DathMuffin's blog has links to them as well. So there goes this theory. I'm struggling to come up with more reasons now as to how / why.
Well IRC, Gormahs made a post called "Desertion" which would have brought about a lot of attention, and you are a well....demon in their eyes I am sure, so that explains yours being gone. Maybe his was overlooked?
Could be. In my last post I did question the validity of WanderingGoblins' "research" into Affinity Media and WowHead and the apparent crusade that World of War.net has against WowHead. This was right after the release of WowDigger, remember? So maybe that ticked them off too much?
Fortunately I was smart - I exported my blog when I left so I have it in an XML format. Unfortunately without all the comments.
Mangara... Can't be because my account is inactive, because it's not. Besides, I find it odd that I didn't get a warning if it's because of inactivity.
From Rushster
Note on Blogs. I am cleaning them out. The Blogs that are gone are ones that will no longer be updated as stated by the author. We are trying to streamline the Blog section and there are some changes incoming to the section shortly, more than likely a complete revamp/system change to fit in with other major changes going on in the background for other sections of the site as well.
Very old Blogs will also be removed as they are sitting there no longer being used, all this takes time and I have been reading through what I can and checking against updated dates. If you're blog is AWOL then that is the reason why.

At least he keeps us somewhat informed. I'll backup mine for old time's sake.
EDIT: Wow, mine's gone now. Interesting to see that they zap the bigger ones first before deleting the dozens of "1-entry-blogs".
So that means:
* Post something quickly if you want to retain your blog there.
* Extract the entries if you do not want to retain your blog there.
Nice one.
Edit: That was fast! Sorry about that DarthMuffin.
I had most of it in Word format anyway (spelling check ftw), but I do think it's a bit mean to zap our work like that with no warning.
Considering how high our blogs rated in terms of Search Engine Rankings for some terms. 5th Google.com result for Void Baron Galaxis for example went to my blog. That would have raised the profile of the site a little bit at least. Anyway, their choice, their site and all that. I've gotten over being pissed off to just feeling resigned and saddened by all of this. It seems as if there is a massive crusade / revamp ongoing at the moment. Can't say it feels all that ... nice.
I do find the order in which he started cleaing the blogs a little....interesting. :/
Well, they started with everybody who dared to mention the Black Temple, basically. P.S. Stigg - check the Admin section under Users ;)
Haha love it!
