Hmm, I think it's really shitty to remove the option to change skin once they notice someone bringing it up. I can understand that they like the look themselves and that they are proud of the look, but to intentionally remove any option the change skin they are just annoying people and making theose unhappy with the new look to walk away for better places.
That's what you call stupid in plain enlish. :-/

I just clicked the MY ACCOUT link, chose EDIT and entered the HTML code. Then it is automatically added to the comment field.

And I did that, but my signature appears in my comment block, so I have to delete it to write in a comment! Are you just hitting return a few times before you type?
He added a few dashes to seperate it so he could write in above it. Not too hard. =P
I can manage to read their pages for about 90 seconds before blood starts to drip from my eyes. Ive gone from several hours a day of reading to a few minutes a day. Oh well, they seem to know whats best? Yeah right ;)
I have the same problem.
I just can't look at those pages for an extended period of time.
Note to self: No black background with light text.
Oh, it can work just fine.
But it depends on the rest of the context. Providing a black screen with a big white box is one of those less pleasant encounters.
Big fugly buttons don't help either.
Silver on black is perfectly acceptable and quite peaceful on the eyes. Silver on a black background, with stupid yellow folders everywhere and white bars scattered throughout is not.
I see Elly has announced the change is permanent, they won't introduce a second subscription layer for people who only want to be able to change the skins. And ... erm. That was about it.
