On my old server the follwing situtations is causing quite a fuzz:
" Do you want Your Merciless Gladiator XXXX? But no time to collect the points? Hire us! We (insert names of some PVP warlords who play 12+ hours a day) will play your arena matches for you. (these people have 2150 ratings
You need your own Arena team (3vs3) no 2vs2 or 5vs5
You pay us 1000g each for every week, and 30g on top of that for every match we win.
for example if we play 1 week in your team and we play 35 matches winning 29, you pay 3000+ 29*30= 3870g
they claim they raise a 1500 team to 1800 or 1900 or so in a short time, so that the original team members get more points and can purchase PVP rewards..
As you can imagine this is getting quite a buzz on our forums..
I must say I laughed a lot at this. smart move! why should only PVE guilds sell their fat loot? (You know how they often sell Kara, Gruul, Mag and SSC loot to non guildies on farm runs?)

We have the same thing on my server. Mostly I just see selling of arena teams with 2000+rating....these guys are making a killing!The same 3 guys will make a team, quickly get it to 1800+, sell it, buy another one, get it to 1800+, rinse and repeat.
Tichondrius is ridiculous when it comes to this.

Haha, the thing about it though is these people that spend thousnads of gold get about 2 weeks of a good rating before they are already back below 1500 again.
Those two weeks would get me about 1500 points though...TWO WEEKS?! I would die for tht (not really). With our 2v2 on my rogue, it's an estimated 9 weeks before i even SEE that dagger in my hand. /sigh. I just got the night blade though, to hold me over til then. Better than nothing i s'pose.

This item is a PvP reward, and can be purchased for 2625Arena Points from Krixel Pinchwhistle in Netherstorm.
with a real low rating you can get only 300 points a week. it will take you NINE weeks to get a weapon. with a rating above 1800, or 1900 9dunno what those folks can do in a week) you get 700. maybe 800 points a week. so in just 2 weeks you can have 1500 points indeed, then you can stop paying, and ride your team for another 1000 points in the next 2 weeks... voila! imba weapon.... OR you can just buy Multiple Set armor items, those are a lot cheaper than weapons. and most people would start with at least some points already,
so they might get the item after 1 or 2 weeks already.
Blizzard already anounced some things to prevent this, for example next seasons items might require a PERSONAL, not Team rating before you can buy them from the reward vendor
my 2v2 team is a little low atm, it's 1460 rating, and i only got 255 points for that, BOO! i hate the way they make it take SO long to get arena points necessary for all the neat items, and as a rogue, i'd go for the weapon first, it's my main damage source, i have viable gear to last til i can upgrade that... Q_Q
