Our guild site

Have a looksee. I personally think it's my best Drupal site to date! And it's just gone live to the users, so it's still deadly quiet. But hopefully that will pick up.

All is well in the world

Click the link and disagree. There is just something cool about that. Letter opener indeed.

Joseth, the friendly fiddler for the dead

Last weekend my Necromancer made it to level 80, finally and after nearly 7 days of actual played time. I splurged and picked up the Robes of Torment which looks like an acid tripping snake vomited all over them and then smeared a rainbow scaled pattern into it. It's ugly. But good and reasonably priced at 8GP. And on Sunday, fully intending to log in for a few moments only, I got dragged into a guild meeting followed by a Kylikki raid followed by a Vistrix raid. It was dark outside by the time we finished, but the Vistrix raid was awesome!

My little piggy

This is my little piggy. I have yet to decide on a name for this little beastie, but he is my War Rhino. Temperamental, but he likes it if you scratch his back. Trouble is you need a step ladder and a trident to accomplish that, but hey! He's the pre-order reward us Oceanic players got with the game. Slow. Steady. But he just looks so incredibly cool. There is another, zoomed out screenshot here.

Nerd FAXING rage

I can't !@#$!$#@ believe this. Three %@#$$% hours of %!@#$% Yakmar raiding on an empty stomach with &(#$) knows how many mother173p459712345y wipes and the %#$ HW:LKHN Priest of Mitra, HolyOne, ninjas the ONE item that us casters could roll on. And best of all? THE STUPID !@#$@ COCK!@#$!@$# cannot even use the damn thing.

My boots

Yes, those are. And damn, don't they look good? They are part of the Mortiferous set which drops in Sanctum of the Burning Soul, which, even though it does not quite have the stats of the Dark Templar set does look so totally and utterly bad ass that I can't resist wearing it. Even 10 levels later. In any event, that is my Dark Templar lounging about the Tarantia Nobles district trying very hard not to sneer at all the foppish flops lolling about and resting their feet in the waters. While, if you step just outside, there is carnage with dead horses, impaled guardsmen and a horde of Nemedians that have claimed the streets for themselves.

Stonehammer: Under siege

Early this week Malleus Maleficarium with a horde of mercenaries from Templarum Assassinorium and Hammer of Vengeance smashed HARMs Battle Keep and gained Stonehammer Keep for the inquisitors. With barely three days to become used to our new Keep the Order of the Silver Dragons challenged us and brought 48 of their keenest fighters to smash us and raze our newly acquired Keep. Now for those of you who are not playing Age of Conan, a Battle Keep is one of a handful of the PVP enabled cities in the game. There are two per racial group and we hold one of the Cimmerian keeps. Any other guild that can muster an attacking force of 48 players can sign up for a siege window to attack the keep and gain it for themselves. The signup consists of points, so different guilds can bid points to try and win the window. You earn points through PvP. And that is where the fun starts ...

Joy. Enough said.

It has a freaking tiger mount. And they're not increasing the level cap. But if you believe a Funcom promise you're a fool. Still. Pre-ordering!

DPS. I haz too much

This weekend I tried the recommended Feat build (Like Talent points) and it just did not work for me. Timings were off, the pets were too underpowered and things just did not work. So, I spent the 1s and respecced to my own version thereof. And it was the same; clunky and uncomfortable and like an Eggor suit. So, I spent the 6s and respecced to a different build, something more like I would build.

Chunder, you want to play this...

Because honestly, in how many games do you see such a sumptuous level of detail and get to run up a steep set of stairs to face off against that in an instance? Okay, so you don't really fight it, you just free it. But still. I was like OMG. Then I was liek. WTF? And then I felt the desire to run the other way. Fortunatey my guild mates noticed and pulled me back so we could run over there, jump the lava and dash up the stairs. Then the fun started!
